The small town of Keystone Heights, Florida, is located in the northern part of the state, and while the city itself has fewer than 10,000 residents, its total area makes Keystone Heights the fourth-largest municipality in Clay County. The area was originally settled by the Timucuan Indians around 1000 A.D., and the town was platted in 1882. Today, Keystone Heights has a small-town feel, with locally owned stores and eateries in the downtown area.

Keystone Heights, FL is located in Escambia County, approximately 100 miles west of Jacksonville. The town was named for its shape—the jagged peaks of hills around the central area—and for the Keystone Bridge which crosses the Blackwater River.
