Sid Martin Highway
The Sid Martin Highway is a 17-mile-long (27 km) segment of U.S. Route 19, in Santa Rosa County, Florida including the Waldo area. It is named for Sid Martin, a state senator and mayor of Milton, Florida, the county seat of Santa Rosa County.
The Sid Martin Highway in Fairbanks provides travelers with high-speed access to Interior Alaska. This highway, which stretches for 144 miles, connects Fairbanks to the Interior city of Delta Junction. Along the way, travelers can enjoy views of McKinley, the Alaska Range and Brooks Falls, as well as many other beautiful natural sights.

The Sid Martin Highway is a federally designated scenic byway located in the state of Alaska. The highway was named for Sid Martin, a United States Senator from Alaska from 1959 until his death in 1975. The highway is a 229-mile long road that begins in Anchorage, Alaska and travels south through Palmer and Wasilla to Fairbanks. The highway takes travelers through the Chugach National Forest, the Alaska Range, and into Denali National Park and Preserve.
The Sid Martin Parkway, appropriately named for a WWII hero, is a highway that spans from I-95 to US 1 in Central Florida. The most notable portion of the roadway, however, is it’s toll on its eastbound lanes. Beginning at the Tallahassee Beltway, the toll increases as you head east. The toll is $3.00 for vehicles with four or more axles, and $2.50 for vehicles with up to three axles. On weekdays from 5 a.m. to 9 p.m., the toll increases by $.25 for vehicles with four or more axles, and $.20 for vehicles with up to three axles. Weekends and holidays see no increases.
Sid Martin Road, located between Highway 480 and U.S. 50, is an indirect route between Interstates 80 and 215. It is named for Sid Martin, a local real estate broker and former president and chairman of the Nevada Association of Realtors.
Martin Highway, formerly known as US-31, is the most famous stretch of road in Michigan. It’s awesome in the fact that most traffic is almost always moving very fast, and the speed of traffic often makes driving here a challenge. Slow down, people! It’s Martin Highway! Important!
